Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Conduct experiments and demonstrations to teach principles of chemistry
- Assess and grade students assignments laboratory work and examinations
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on progress
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices
- Supervise students during laboratory experiments and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Participate in parentteacher meetings and communicate effectively with parents
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field
- Teaching certification or license
- Prior experience teaching Chemistry at the middle or high school level
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development and educational technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students interest in Chemistry
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Proficiency in using educational software and learning management systems
- Understanding of different assessment methods and their applications
