Manufacturing Plant Manager

IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic and seasoned leader with a Bachelors degree in Engineering Material Science Operations Management or Business combined with 810 years of manufacturing experience preferably in the metals sector and does not have a lot of job hopping on their resume. They possess a strong background in lean manufacturing techniques and have a proven track record of driving operational excellence and competitive positioning through continuous improvement. This individual is adept at developing and executing manufacturing plans that enhance profitability while minimizing costs and they have experience in overseeing productionrelated processes policies and procedures. They are skilled at collaborating with department heads to ensure seamless purchasing production quality and distribution processes aiming for significant yearoveryear improvements in revenue ROS yield and productivity. The ideal candidate is committed to championing health environment and safety initiatives maintaining compliance standards and fostering a culture of involvement communication mutual trust respect and excellence. They exhibit strong leadership qualities including the ability to set clear goals prioritize effectively and build cohesive teams ensuring accountability and a passion for excellence across all levels of the organization.
Directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production maintenance engineering quality and other productionrelated activities while ensuring the mills number one priority is safety. Leads the mills culture initiative to create a great place to work for attracting and retaining top talent. Employs lean manufacturing techniques visual controls and plant performance measures to meet production goals and strives for continuous improvement. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and better working relationships.
Additional Responsibilities: Work with Engineering Maintenance and Quality organization to assure project work is effective and meeting expectations to assure KPIs are meeting desired targets.
QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Engineering Material Science Operations Management or Business; and / or combination of education and equivalent relevant years of experience
810 years of manufacturing experience
A strong lean manufacturing background
Previous experience in metals is strongly desired
Travel requiredFull Time
