MedSurg Registered Nurse RN - Direct Hire

Location: Lewiston

Shift: 12 Hours Multiple Shifts Available.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
• Deliver care appropriate to the patients condition and age.
• Work cooperatively and actively participate with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement (CQPI).
• Maintain positive relationships with all customers.
• Promote rehabilitation nursing philosophy and scope of practice.
• Actively participate in team conferences.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for the completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
• Provide a safe environment for patients visitors and staff and comply with appropriate and approved safety standards.
• Support the leadership for the hospital in a professional manner and act as a role model.

Qualifications:

• Possess or eligible to obtain licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Idaho.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN).
