Your IT Recruiter is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for our client.
This position s standard work schedule is a 9/80 to allow employees every other Friday off. Future business needs may require a more traditional 5/40 work schedule to provide availability for demand.
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer role will:
Develop modify apply and maintain standards for software quality operating methods processes systems and procedures.
o Ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with standards objectives and/or contract requirements via inspection reviews and audits.
Develop overall operating measures and criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to standards objectives and/or contract requirements.
o Ensure measures meet acceptable performance standards/targets/goals.
Contribute to software development and maintenance processes and methods utilized by Software Engineering ensuring compliance with requirements objectives and/or contract requirements.
Review software engineering work products (e.g. design change specifications and plans) against contractual and/or process requirements.
Perform or direct verification of software requirement allocations traceability and testability.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering another STEM degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of software experience or 3 years with a Master s degree or 0 years with a PhD in one of the above disciplines.
Understanding of software engineering principles practices and theories.
Experience in operating in a Quality Management System (QMS).
Strong analytical skill with an understanding of basic problem solving.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Works well under pressure and adapt well to unplanned tasks.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications especially Excel Word PowerPoint.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience coding in Ada C C and/or Python.
Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprisewide systems and software problem tracking tools such as DOORs GitHub Jira Confluence and BitBucket.
Experience with ISO and AS9100 standards requirements.
Knowledge and/or experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action tools.
Ability and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.
Knowledge of waterfall and/or Agile lifecycles.

Basic Qualifications : BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field rom an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Academic or professional experience using Java, C, C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Desired skills : Working on cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test). FACE, Data Modelling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) - Cameo or Rhapsody, SysML, DOORS, ICD/IRD/IDD. Design Assurance, System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software. Strong verbal and written communication.
