We are currently recruiting for a Plumbing Fire/Protection Engineer in our growing building services team. This role will see you technically and creatively challenged on some of the most interesting developments in the US and further in the field. Teamwork and a collaborative approach are key to any project at client so your strong communication skills and passion to succeed with others will serve you well.
What will I be doing
- Input to the projects is likely to be varied but will include the requirement to:
- The provision of technical / detailed design engineering services to the broader building services team and a responsibility for schematic design through construction documents to a range of external clients.
- Delivery of detailed design across; plumbing and fire protection ground sanitary/waste and rainwater drainage systems below ground drainage domestic hot and coldwater services rainwater harvesting systems black and grey water systems.
- Showing technical mentorship and leadership to our younger engineers and graduates by supporting and encouraging their progression with us.
Requirements
What can I bring to the role
- As an experienced Plumbing Fire/Protection Engineer it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working in a P/FP engineering role and a broad design knowledge and experience of running of US building services projects
- 35 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of using Revit or similar tools and an in depth understanding of US and Pennsylvania plumbing codes
- A selfstarter youll have a confident proactive and organized approach to your work team and clients
- A relevant Bachelor or Master degree is preferred
- PE and a professional in ASPE or ISPE with a LEED AP accreditation desirable
- Ideally experience in the commercial sector.
Associate s Degree or certification in drafting and design technology or related program Strong knowledge of Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office 365 software Experience in developing full sets of highly-detailed, accurate construction documents Knowledge of construction materials, assemblies, and systems for healthcare and lab design is preferred, but not required Responsibilities include: Collaboration with principal and project managers in creating projects for our clients, from schematic design through construction administration On-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings Research of building codes and materials selections Maintenance of project files, correspondence, drawings, and material samples Creation of presentation materials for client meetings
