Job Purpose
To manage the reporting for Bahrain in line with requirements and provide analytical support to Bahrain Finance Manager for ongoing activities.
To provide support to the Bahrain Finance Manager in managing the financial and business planning process and implementing the management reporting framework in line with Group Management Accounting Policy Manual.
To act as back up for Finance Manager for matters relating to Management reporting for Bahrain. Support the business through analysis of performance and identifying revenue enhancement / cost reduction opportunities.
Key Result Areas
- Responsible for assisting the country finance manager is achieving the IBG finance expectations on formulating Bahrain strategic business plan and performance measurement systems.
- Identify key performance indicators which business needs to manage and ensure that financial plan is achieved.
- Implement realistic performance measurement systems so as to evaluate accurate performance of business units.
- Implement standard operating procedures and exercise strong financial controls on all corporate and off shore banking transactions.
- Create and establish product-wise and customer wise profitability reports.
- Create financial discipline in business through regular cost center and expense reviews, review of cost allocations and highlight inefficiencies and opportunities to finance manager for improvements.
- Responsible for timely implementation of various HO initiatives on new products controls and UAT, testing parameters, tables, etc.
- Liaise with branch auditors and central bank staff on BAU audit / regulatory aspects related to OBU and timely closure of all issues and highlight Finance manager on the critical aspects to be handled by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Chartered accountant or equivalent
- 7-8 years of experience within the Finance dept. of a multinational bank / Big 4 audit firms.
- Planning orientation, strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Banking operations knowledge in Corporate products, Retail Products, Trade Finance, Structured products, Treasury functions, Loans, Advances and Accounting.
