Finance Manager iGaming

We have an exciting job opportunity for you to join a leading iGaming company in Cape Town! Our client is seeking a skilled Financial Manager to oversee and enhance the finance functions in the exciting and dynamic field of betting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring statutory compliance driving bottomline performance and optimizing cashflow in alignment with the company s strategic objectives and budgets.

Your key job responsibilities as the Finance Manager in Cape Town will include:

• Formulate and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals identifying growth opportunities and managing financial risks efficiently
  
• Produce accurate and timely financial reports analysing them for insights into the company s financial health and proposing actions for improvement
  
• Create and manage comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts adjusting as needed to align with business goals
  
• Efficiently manage company cash flow to ensure availability for obligations and growth initiatives
  
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws implementing controls to prevent fraud and errors covering areas such as Gambling Tax VAT Employee Tax and Income Tax
  
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders including banks investors auditors and regulatory bodies effectively communicating the company s financial position and strategies
  
• Provide leadership and development for the finance team ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to support business goals
  
• Oversee company investments and assets ensuring effective management and a positive return
  
• Identify and manage financial risks such as exchange rate fluctuations or market condition changes developing strategies to mitigate these risks
  

Requirements for this Finance Manager job in Cape Town:

• Degree in Accounting qualified CA or relevant tertiary education
  
• 3 years proven work experience in a relevant role
  
• Work experience in an online sportsbook or casino environment would be advantageous
  
• Experience in using Xero or similar accounting platforms
  
• Ability to work independently
  
• Strong management and communication skills
  
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
