About the role:

De Heus is actively seeking a selfmotivated and highperforming Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. In this role they will be tasked with promoting the sale of De Heus s range of Animal Feed products and providing technical and product support as required by De Heuss Sales Representative customers and prospects in the Central Region. Reporting directly to the General Manager this position offers a unique chance to contribute to the overall success and growth of our organization.


As a Sales Representative you will play a key role in achieving annual budgets and objectives for the region and increasing sales volume and margins. We seek an individual with a proven track record in driving sales a deep understanding of sales principles and an interest in leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • You will sell and support the De Heus Animal Feed range to current and prospective clients.

  • You will achieve monthly & yearly sales budgets per customer.

  • You will build and maintain customer relationships.

  • You will maintain a regular visit schedule with customers and potential customers to keep current monthly sales and grow sales with prospects.

  • You will monitor opposition trends on pricing every month.

  • You will add value to customers by identifying needs and goals from the Top 50 clients in each area every quarter.

  • You will understand and keep abreast of Animal Feed industry news and developments.

Product Knowledge

  • You will maintain effective communication with customers and inhouse personnel.

  • You will write quarterly articles.

  • You will monitor the performance of De Heus products gathering production figures from speciesspecific farms every month.

  • You will play an active role in study groups & Trade shows.

Administrative Functions

  • You will handle the necessary administration and liaison with relevant customers/potential customers and inhouse personnel.

  • You will perform nonconformance reporting (External) and control thereof.

  • You will manage and control outstanding debtors.

  • You will provide accurate and ontime reports to direct Superior and Product Manager weekly reports and monthly sales reports.

  • You will provide accurate and professional customer reports in writing to clients after visits.

  • You will compile and keep the Animal Feed sector plan up to date January & August of each year.

  • You will keep to deadlines set for projects these projects are identified as needed and focused on.



Requirements

About you

MustHaves:

  • You have a degree/Threeyear diploma in Animal Nutrition or Agriculture

  • You have 1 3 years experience in a similar role.

  • You have experience in selling and marketing

  • You have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel PowerPoint and Word.

Nicetohaves:

  • You have a valid motorbike driver s license

  • You can register as a Professional Nutritionist

  • You preferably have milling background experience
