Data Scientist

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join in supporting a prestigious government project. The ideal candidate will be involved in analyzing and characterizing large datasets creating insightful data visualizations and identifying patterns indicative of abnormal or noteworthy behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends anomalies and interesting behavior.
  

• Develop and implement algorithms in cloud environments contributing to advancing our analytical capabilities.
  

• Collaborate with a team to design and create data visualizations that convey findings.
  

• Engage in cyber domain analysis and discovery operations leveraging data to support security measures.
  

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and objectoriented programming.
  

• Experience with analytic development within the Linux environment.
  

• Familiarity with DataFrames using Pandas or Spark.
  

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of PySpark and distributed computing.
  

• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure AWS).
  

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors and Masters degrees from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics mathematics operations research engineering computer science).
  

• Five years of experience in dataset analysis and analytics development.
  

• Five years of programming experience with data analysis software (e.g. R Python SAS MATLAB).
  

• Additional experience in software development cloud development dataset analysis or developing analytics may substitute for the Masters degree requirement.
  

• A Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline may substitute for three years of experience.
