Job Description
The Glass Jar, Inc. is searching for a self-directed and responsible Delivery Driver to join our incredible team!
The Glass Jar, Inc. is a farm-to-table restaurant group based in Santa Cruz, CA that owns and operates The Penny Ice Creamery and The Picnic Basket.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities Include:
-Gather, load and deliver all items needed for The Picnic Basket and The Penny Ice Creamery using our Requisition/Par System.
-Drive the company vehicle (2015 Ford Transit T-250) and/or other delivery vehicle(s)
-Assist in deliveries with partnered company Verve Coffee Roasters
-Organize, update and maintain a large inventory of goods
-Learn and help to develop new procedures and systems, etc.
-Assist in relaying relevant information between management teams at each location
Requirements
-A clean driving record & current California Drivers License
-Skilled in organization, prioritization and time-management
-Demonstrated ability to be self-directed; works well alone
-Great communication skills and a friendly attitude
-Enjoy interacting with all types of people
-Able to work a flexible schedule (early mornings, weekends and holidays); Can work at least 20 hours per week
-Ability to text and/or check email on a frequent basis
-Ability to stand for eight hours; ability to lift heavy objects (at least 50 pounds)
