Job Overview
As IT Manager, you will work closely with the rest of our team to ensure that our company uses the most up-to-date technology to run our business. We seek an IT Manager who will ensure that the hardware and software used by our company are compatible, secure and scalable. In addition, you will be responsible for managing our internal network and providing the smooth and successful delivery of technical services across our broad internal customer base. The successful candidate will have the skills, proven professional experience, and detailed knowledge of the IT industry s best practice processes.
Responsibilities
- Conducting standard evaluations of network and data security;
- Locating and seizing opportunities to enhance and update software and systems;
- Creating and implementing the organization s IT policies and best practices;
- Performing scheduled system audits;
- Running regular system operations reports;
- Organizing and establishing deadlines for major IT projects such as system updates, migrations, upgrades and outages;
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of proven working experience as an IT Manager
- Bachelor s degree in IT, computer science, MIS or a similar field
- Advanced analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Advanced proficiency and programming language of MS Office Suite and Microsoft operating systems (e.g. MS Exchange, Active Directory)
- Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and best practices
- Knowledge of document management systems (iManage) an asset
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
