Interim Data Engineer Fixed-term

We are now looking for a Data Engineer to fill in for a parental leave of 6 monthswith the potential for contract extension.

As a Data Engineer you will be part of the team that owns and maintains the whole data infrastructure at Sambla Group. Our team drives the development of creating data pipelines data warehousing monitoring service and all other data related tasks. You will work on crafting robust and scalable solutions for all downstream data consumers and collaborate with stakeholders from adjacent departments.

Amongst other things you will work with:

• Design build and administer data integrations and data pipelines that feed our data products (streaming batch api endpoints).
• Ensure data security data quality and product uptime.
• Work with modern cloud based technologies in GCP such as BigQuery Pubsub Cloud run Cloud Functions Cloud Build and artifact registry as well as other tools like dbt prefect and Terraform.
• Participate in projects to drive businessvalue from a Dataperspective.

Must have:

• Preferably 13 years of work experience within data engineering or similar roles.
• Relevant educational background preferably in software/data engineering
• Strong interest in developing data solutions.
• Working experience in Python eg. pyspark/polars flask/fastapi.
• Working experience with SQL e.g. joins group by CTEs Window/Analytic functions.
• Working experience in cloud technologies e.g in GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Working experience with version control e.g. Git.
  

A bit of extra credit if you also have:

• Experience with CI/CD (CircleCI Jenkins Github Actions).
• Experience with logging monitoring and observability.
• Understanding of Data Modelling & Data Warehousing e.g. dimensional modelling data vault SCD etc.
