Accountant

Primary Purpose of Job:The primary purpose of the job is to oversee and manage QatarEnergy's payroll activities for its employees. This includes ensuring that payroll processes are conducted, recorded, and accounted for in accordance with QatarEnergy's personnel procedures and other corporate policies. The Payroll Manager maintains workflow in the Payroll Section under the supervision of the Head of the Section and provides guidance and support to staff for improving systems and enhancing service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Process and perform QatarEnergy's payroll activities according to established procedures.Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.Supervise the Payroll Section and ensure efficient workflow.Provide guidance and support to staff to enhance service delivery.Collaborate with the Head of the Section to improve current systems.Ensure compliance with relevant corporate policies and procedures.Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices.Experience Skills:15+ years of experience in medium to large organizations, with exposure to accounting and finance functions.Previous experience in a similar capacity in the oil and gas industry is advantageous.Knowledge of computerized business environments and experience with MS Office packages, SAP, or similar ERP systems.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Education:Master's Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or Accounting.Globally accepted professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost & Management Accountant, etc
