Contract Manager Rail

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Rail Contract Manager to join our Arb Rail team in the Central Region covering a regional across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager the Rail Contract Manager will contribute to the performance and growth of our rail division and ensure that we exceed our clients expectations on safety quality and operational delivery.

The Rail Contract Manager will predominantly be involved in deveg but the work scope may potentially also include fencing and civils work. Duties will include:

• Managing multiple Rail Site Supervisors and rail sites to exceed client and internal KPIs
• Assisting the Senior Contract Manager with the planning safety and quality of works
• Surveying sites to evaluate vegetation clearance work required and ensuring adequate resourcing to deliver

Who are we looking for

To be successful in this role you will ideally have had some but not necessarily all of the following;

• Relevant managerial and operational experience or equivalent relevant practical experience.
• Previous experience in the rail industry
• Experienced in effectively leading teams
• Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
• Knowledge and strong commercial acumen of tendering

Although deveg experience within the Arb sector would be ideal we would be open to training the right candidate from a Rail or Arb background to be a strong allrounder.
