Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an accomplished and resultsoriented professional to join our team as a Sample Room Manager
Responsibilities :
- Capacity Planning
- Making a daily sample production plan based on the input from different category teams
- Planning the allocation of the sample room s staff and machinery to ensure utilization and timely delivery
- Handle large quantities of new style samples within different product categories and across different types of buyers.
- Manpower Management
- Work with 3rd party vendors/contractors/HR to hire and train the required workers
- Monitor and manage Pattern Masters sewing workers helpers etc and ensure staff is motivated and there is minimum churn
- Keep track of worker attendance OT and productivity for payroll.
- Quality ( First Time right)
- Responsible for evaluating and approving all samples Proto Fit Size set etc
- Be able to handle paper and CAD patterns. Have technical knowledge of making sample garments realistically and functionally.
- Ensuring that good working practice is applied when using cutting making and pressing equipment and a safe working environment is maintained.
- Efficiency
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and experience in the use of industrial equipment
- Setting daily production targets for each operator within the unit and closely tracking the output.
- Identifying and applying the most suitable processes and production methods to improve output.
- General Management
- Ensuring that fabrics thread and trims are available to produce a sample garment.
- Communicating with design and product development teams to ensure sample requirements are met. Also provide inputs on production feasibility during the development phase.
- Maintaining records of pattern sets and feedback etc.
