Overview:
The WordPress Developer/Designer plays a crucial role in our organization by collaborating with the marketing and design teams to create and maintain visually appealing functional and userfriendly websites using WordPress. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless online experience for our audience and contributes to the overall success of our digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins to align with the companys branding and user experience goals
- Collaborating with the design team to create visually appealing website layouts and graphics
- Ensuring responsive design and optimal performance across various devices and browsers
- Integrating ecommerce functionalities and payment gateways as per business requirements
- Performing website updates backups and troubleshooting to maintain website functionality
- Conducting regular security and performance audits to ensure website integrity
- Optimizing website speed and performance for improved user experience and SEO
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to gather and implement website requirements
- Providing technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders on website usage and best practices
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices for WordPress development and design
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Web Design or a related field
- Proven experience in WordPress theme and plugin development
- Proficiency in HTML CSS and JavaScript for frontend development
- Experience with responsive and mobile design principles
- Strong understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices
- Knowledge of ecommerce platforms and payment gateway integration
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website issues effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
- Detailoriented approach to design and development processes
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends
- Experience with website security measures and best practices
- Portfolio demonstrating past website design and development projects
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
