Paradigm is searching for an Electrical Engineer to support our client a leader in the wood processing machinery manufacturing industry. In this role you will undertake engineering designing and technical tasks to facilitate the delivery of small to large heavy industrial projects.

As an Electrical Engineer you will:
Support proposal preparation and scope development.
Manage project delivery across all phases from concept to startup including construction and commissioning support.
Conduct calculations studies and reports (e.g. grounding lighting protection load studies arc flash).
Develop equipment specifications for procurement.
Collaborate with other disciplines (Civil/Structural Mechanical) for design coordination.
Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers and team members ensuring highquality engineering deliverables consistent with project standards and safety requirements.
Maintain regular correspondence with clients and external personnel.
Offer shortterm field support during construction.
Contribute to power distribution design and Arc Flash reports
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer registration (or eligibility).
Experience working in heavy industrial environments is essential.
Strong technical expertise in power distribution electrical rooms MCCs VFDs transmission and heavy industrial power systems.
Familiarity with P&IDs PFDs and equipment specification.
Proficient in the engineering and design process including front end engineering cost estimates gated reviews detailed engineering and construction support.
Experience in both brown field and green field projects.
Proficiency in National Electrical Code.
Skilled in AutoCAD and MS Office.
Comfortable with clientfacing interactions and effective communication with project teams and customers.
