Collections Specialist

Compensation: $22 per hour

Location: Denver CO

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and recovering outstanding debts that are owed to the company. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at contacting debtors and ensuring the timely collection of payments. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Reach out to individuals or businesses that owe money through phone calls emails or letters
  

• Maintain accurate records of all communication with debtors and payments received
  

• Closely monitor the status of delinquent accounts and follow up as needed to ensure payments have been made
  

• Understand and follow all legal requirements related to debt collection possibly coordinate with the legal department to ensure compliance and to coordinate efforts for accounts requiring further action
  

• Must be able to meet or exceed all activity metrics established for this position
  

Requirements

• Experience in debt collection customer service or related field
  

• Previous experience in a debt collection environment is preferred but not required
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for this position
  

• Must be able to analyze financial information and make informed decisions regarding the appropriate collection tactics
  

• Competency in using computer systems databases and office software to manage accounts and record data
