An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a wellestablished and vibrant company on the northwest fringe of the Lake District. This is a handson role ensuring that the IT systems are functioning smoothly across the businesses to ensure sales other transactions and backoffice functions can take place.
This is a parttime 3 days per week role.
Your new job
- Ensuring the smooth running of IT and computer systems on a daytoday basis.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing laws.
- Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements.
- Assessing purchasing and configuring new and replacement hardware.
- Administer Office 365 networks firewalls and Sage.
- Monitor and maintain IT assets and information security.
- Configure and support LAN WAN and internet access and necessary maintenance tasks.
- Ensure backup systems are functioning correctly.
- Ensure antivirus software is running on all company computers.
- Maintain and develop disaster recovery capabilities and operations.
- Maintain and develop the IT documentation set.
Additional support generally remote is available in relation to the specialist software systems and from a local IT support provider where necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar IT role.
- Ability to prioritise your work.
- Ability to work on your own and unsupervised.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective communication with team members.
- Preferably with experience of Ubiquiti switches and WAPs.
- Windows Server 2016 onwards experience or Microsoft accreditation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex IT systems.
