Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter s Helper to assist our team of carpenters in various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow in the construction industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain handson experience and develop their carpentry skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist carpenters with the construction of new structures including measuring and cutting materials constructing frames and walls and installing fixtures
Work alongside carpenters to install and repair structures such as roofs floors and cabinets
Operate and maintain various hand and power tools such as saws drills and sanders
Prepare and clean work areas including removing debris and ensuring tools are properly stored
Follow safety guidelines and procedures always including wearing necessary protective equipment and adhering to OSHA regulations
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Handle and transport materials to and from job sites using company vehicles and equipment
Requirements
Previous experience in construction or carpentry preferred but not required
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow instructions
Physically able to perform job duties including lifting and carrying heavy materials standing for extended periods of time and working in various weather
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction from carpenters
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Valid driver s license and clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug test and background check
