Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Tasks for Database Administrator will include but not be limited to:

Principles and practices of the functions performed by IT Services
Oracle and SQL Server relational database management system
Concepts practices and procedures (COBIT and ITIL) including Change Management
Software/Systems Development Life Cycle for IT systems development and
management.
Hardware software application database and network environments currently in used
typically at utilities.
Principles and techniques of systems analysis design and development lifecycle
Installation and maintenance of application and database components
Water and wastewater business functions and operations
Code and implement database definitions and descriptions; develop and administer
database utility routines for verifying the validity of data element values optimizing
performance backing up and recovering data sources and maintaining the integrity of
the organizations database systems.
Responsible for capacity planning and management security planning and
management data management systems maintenance and performance management
of one or more systems
Perform database maintenance (table reorganizations database compaction and
generate index statistics)
Develop and maintain database disaster recovery processes.
Complete Data model design and maintenance
Generate DDL (data definition language)
Define technical database design and implementation approaches for IT projects.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor of Computer Science or Related Field (4 years experience in lieu)
Ability to resolve technical issues and respond to support requests supporting team members
on various software applications hardware and operating systems on Windows and Android devices
