Introduction
Nightingale Hammerson isa charity with the mission to deliver high quality care to the older Jewish community. We have two care homes Nightingale House in Clapham and Hammerson House in East Finchley.
As an Education Research and Community Engagement Leadyou will collaborate with our Director of Research Innovation and Community Engagement to further our mission of best serving and engaging the Jewish community and social care sector.
What will your typical day involve
In this role youll be crucial in providing administrative support to the department which includes handling phone calls managing correspondence organising meetings and dealing with incoming post. Youll also play a significant role in fostering communication and engagement between Nightingale Hammerson and Jewish organisations including synagogues as well as organising community engagement events.
Your responsibilities further involve supporting the development and delivery of educational programmes and assisting with clerical activities for community events. Liaising with the Jewish community and external agencies forms part of your duties along with contributing to report generation and the Community Engagement strategy.
Additionally youll be responsible for financerelated tasks such as raising purchase orders. Providing impeccable customer service is crucial as you will be welcoming a variety of visitors. You will also focus on developing and improving departmental systems and processes upholding Nightingale Hammersons values and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality consistently.
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate should have ALevel qualifications or equivalent with graduate education being a bonus. They must be eager to positively impact elderly lives possess excellent empathetic communication skills and be literate and numerate for document creation and stats.
Proficiency in additional languages like Spanish French Mandarin or Hebrew is advantageous along with knowledge of office administrative procedures. Exceptional IT skills in Word Excel PowerPoint and video call platforms are highly desirable.
Preferred experience includes database management and understanding of Jewish culture.
The role demands flexibility independence and minimal guidance. Essential experience involves previous roles in healthcare or education. Additional qualifications such as project management and experience in developing services from pilot to full implementation are also desirable.

Hours
Full Time 37.5 hours a week working across both London sites
Salary
Circa 26000 per annum on a fixedterm 12month contract with possibility of becoming permanent.
