Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detailoriented PartTime Assistant Accountant to join our clients team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of their finance department you will support the Finance Manager in various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and accounts.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
  • Support monthend and yearend close processes.
  • Assist in preparing VAT returns and other tax filings.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience or education in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with payroll processing is a plus.
