DataOps Engineer

Role Overview

The goal of DataOps is to streamline and automate endtoend data pipeline operations ensuring that data is efficiently and reliably delivered to business users and applications. You will be working closely with our Data Infrastructure Team other Platform Teams and Program Teams to understand their data processes and related SLAs/SLOs. You will be responsible for daytoday operations ensuring those SLAs/SLOs are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Business Stakeholders and Program Teams to understand their data needs especially as they relate to SLAs/SLOs.
  
• Observe monitor and analyse data pipeline operations.
  
• Fixing data pipeline issues in real time.
  
• Developing a deep understanding of root causes for recurring data pipeline issues
  
• Collaborating with the Data Infrastructure Engineering team to improve data platform components libraries processes
  

Skills and Experience

• At least a year experience working with AWS services
  
• Language knowledge proficiency in SQL Python and Terraform
  
• Experience with AWS BigData/Data Processing tools and services such as AWS Glue AWS Athena S3 Lambda Kinesis Grafana CloudWatch
  
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills
  
• Experience working in an organization following DevOps practices
  
• Understanding of SRE concepts
  
  

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree (or equivalent years of experience).

1 years of experience with AWS cloud computing

1 years of experience working in the AWS data processing stack
