The Cost Accountant or Manager will be required to work cross functionally with Operations to understand variance drivers. This will include assisting in building the budgets and standard cost each year. This position will also be responsible for consolidating results presentations and analysis. You will also:
- Analyze existing bills of materials and routers and correct where needed.
- Monthly variance reporting and analysis of Labor Overhead and Material.
- Daily analysis of Manufacturing variances.
- Tracking of financial impact of VIP projects.
- Annual development of Labor Overhead and Material budgets (including development of Labor and Overhead rates).
- Ongoing maintenance of standard costs (material price increases process changes etc.)
- Analyze excess no movement inventory reserve monthly.
- Manage financial aspects of annual physical inventory.
- Perform capital investment analysis.
- Assist Controller In month end closing process.
- Attend meetings directly relating to projects which have a direct bearing on cost savings and or expenditures.
- Work with Mfg. Engineers to understand Mfg. processes and help develop/improve routers as processes change.
Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting.
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience required.
- One Stream or QAD experience a plus.
