You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnderstand the Road facility and associated assetsCoordinate with Engineers of other zones to ensure overall coherence on the roads function schedule and direction.Prioritize projects and assign work to outsourced maintenance crews to repair traffic lights (poles, new installations) etc., taking into consideration criticality of work to be executed.Direct outsourced agencies and oversee work of road maintenance and equipment operations.Conduct and assist in fieldwork through on-site inspections and prepare maintenance activity reports.Your TasksSupervise work carried out by outsourced contractors as per PWA’s standards and sign off on jobs.Ensure that incidents / emergencies reported are attended to and resolved by the maintenance contractors or in-house teamsPerform emergency traffic light maintenance and respond to public complaints and requests/ calls received from MOTCWork proactively with the design consultants to resolve any design related issues.Analyses, evaluates lighting conditions, and makes necessary calculations to determine the most suitable means of overcoming any existing undesirable lighting situation.Assist the project team in ensuring that roads traffic light maintenance works are carried out to the specified technical standards and that corrective action is taken as needed.Develop the quarterly, annual and long-term preventative and routine maintenance plans to ensure that the roads perform to the specified level of operations based on asset management standards and recommendationsManage the performance of maintenance contractors to ensure adherence to defined SLAsCoordinate with the police department to obtain areas of high risk/ accidents that require maintenance/ repair.Provide inputs to the Asset Affairs team on condition of road signals, lighting and any upgrades/ improvements required.Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures within the section and comply to any new work instructionsYour ProfileMinimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Relevant SubjectChartered Membership in Engineering or Relevant professional body preferred and would be an advantageCurrent/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantageMinimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant field including 3 years’ experience in managing contractors.Experience of working in a multidisciplinary Organization preferably in the Middle EastExtensive knowledge of leading practices in road design/ approaches/ tools.Experience in design review & construction of traffic light projects preferred.Knowledge and experience of Traffic Management and guarding and signing of excavations preferred.Knowledge and experience of Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and regulations preferredCompetent in Microsoft Office PackagesAbility to deliver and support changeAbility to influence and engage stakeholders and staff at all levels within the OrganizationAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in English is mandatoryAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferredOur OfferSalary:Monthly Rate in QARWork Schedule:8 Hours / 5 DaysDuration:4 years with possible extensionLocation:Qatar
