Job Description

As a Pediatric SLP at the American Autism & Rehabilitation Center (AARC) you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to evaluate speech and language skills in pediatric patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
Provide therapy and intervention services to improve speech and language abilities
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create a holistic treatment approach
Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
Educate and involve parents/caregivers in the therapy process
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations progress and treatment plans
Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of pediatric speechlanguage pathology

Qualifications:
Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist in the state of Alabama
Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) is preferred but not required
Experience working with pediatric patients particularly those with Autism spectrum disorders is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility and adaptability in a fastpaced environment
