About The Role:

As an Elementary Classroom Music Teacher youll have the opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love for music in students at multiple elementary sites within the Fresno School District. You will be responsible for planning communicating and executing effective instruction based on the California Standards for Music and the Teaching Profession.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement music lessons that cater to the needs of each student and the standards set by the state of California.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to respond to students diverse needs engaging them in problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructions in response to student data.
• Organize maintain and manage class systems in proper working conditions.
• Plan and organize student concerts and performances.
• Foster positive relationships between students staff and community members.
• Participate in professional development and pursue opportunities to grow professionally.
• Work collaboratively with other staff including administration counseling clerical and other teachers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Music Education or a related field.
• In the process of obtaining a teaching credential or already credentialed.
• Experience teaching music at the elementary level.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and the ability to play at least one musical instrument.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
