Who doesn t love food, the sun and the sea? At Siciliamia, we give you the opportunity to have all of this while having your internship and working with us in our start-up, located in one of the UNESCO heritage sites.
We are a highly reviewed and busy B&B in Ragusa and our aim is to combine organic farming with a unique villa rental, where luxury will meet fair trade and environmental friendliness and our international guests might have the chance to live a truly unique Sicilian experience.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an intern who is active and confident, interested in interacting with our customers and who would like to support us in our daily tasks. This internship is thought to give you an experience both in the food tech field and in the sales area, so the main tasks will be to collaborate with food production staff, make research and give suggestions on how to improve our products, follow up with any customer appreciation/complaint and to interact with them. You should also be eager to work independently and efficiently in order to maintain our high rate of sales and reviews. All your ideas to contribute to driving our company to the next level are very welcome and appreciated.
The internship will begin in March/April 2023 and the minimum duration is 5 months.

Requirements
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Customer relationship and interacting abilities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Food Science or a related field
- Master s degree in the above-mentioned field is considered a plus
- Good knowledge of Marketing and Social Media usage

- Willingness to work in a small business
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with food production staff
- Researching products and technology to improve the existing brand/product offer
- Suggesting how to modify the existing products to make them more appealing
- Dealing and communicating with international hotel guests on a daily basis
- Interacting with the customers (e.g. selling products, meeting customers needs)
- Having knowledge of the product, its qualities and peculiarity
- Making sure that everybody is satisfied with their experience
