Tasks
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Tax youll play a critical handson role in maximizing TES Groups tax efficiency across Europe and the Middle East. Working in a fastpaced environment youll thrive as a resourceful and independent individual who excels in collaboration while tackling diverse tax challenges. Youll work closely with external advisors and local finance teams to ensure accuracy navigate complex regulations and identify opportunities for increased tax efficiency.
Main support duties and responsibilities
- EU Direct Tax Management: Monitor and improve TESs EU direct tax processes for all EMEA subsidiaries collaborating with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely filing and compliance.
- Transfer Pricing Expertise: Analyse intercompany transactions provide guidance to local finance teams on documentation requirements and collaborate with external consultants for accuracy and efficiency.
- Tax Audit & Planning Support: Assist in all phases of tax audits across the region contributing to tax planning initiatives restructuring projects and dispute resolution.
- Indirect Tax Exposure: Gain handson experience with and assist with indirect tax (VAT GST) matters for European subsidiaries working alongside external advisors and local colleagues.
- Data & Systems: Utilize data management skills and familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and Solver to analyze data extract insights and support compliance activities.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Act as a trusted tax resource for other departments (e.g. legal accounting business units) providing expert guidance and facilitating seamless communication.
- Research & Monitoring: Stay ahead of changes in EU tax laws and analyze their impact on TES Group proactively advising on potential risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- University degree in law (2. Staatsexamen) business administration economics or relevant field (DiplomFinanzwirt/in preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant handson experience in reputable tax advisory firms or international corporate tax departments.
- Strong understanding of international tax law and transfer pricing principles.
- Fluency in English and German (additional language proficiency a plus).
- Strong analytical problemsolving multitasking communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Resourcefulness and initiative in identifying and solving tax challenges.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 Microsoft Power BI and SAP/S4 HANA ERP advantageous
