A bit about the role:
As the companys GM, you will be responsible for guiding the company to be the leading Payment Service Provider in Kenya with the expectation of delivering 100% YoY growth. This position is a senior leadership role, reporting to the Group Chief Revenue Of cer, and you can expect to have a direct and indirect report across the different functions of the business.
Your daily adventures include:
Work closely with relevant regulating bodies governing operations in the Kenyan Market
In conjunction with the nance & treasury team track all nance-related KPIs: including but not limited to revenue, gross pro t, EBITDA, receivables, payables, reconciliation and settlement
Work with the Technology team to ensure there is suf cient capacity to take care of customers needs and deliver products on time
Work with the product team to de ne the product market t of the various products on offer in the market by the company
Define global policies on key areas at a group level and implement them in-country (country nuances requiring deviation from global policies agreed between country & amp; group and added as addendums to policies)
Responsible for identifying key partnerships & customers necessary to drive growth
Work closely with the product team to identify new products based on market needs & feedback from customers
Provide direction to the Kenya Sales team and guide their work contributions
Plan resource and skills demands, including insource/outsource planning, ensuring business continuity is kept top of mind and considered as part of demand planning
Support and promote knowledge transfer sessions within the team and across various business verticals
Actively develop the performance and skills of the various team members; participate in career and skills development discussions and support talent development efforts as appropriate
Actively support the various talent processes to identify and retain high and top-performing team members
Identify team strengths, skills and knowledge and ensure appropriate and optimal utilisation of talent
What it takes to succeed:
Degree in business, technology, or related eld; a nance degree
Proven track record of having worked within large ecosystems and at the most senior levels of the organisation, including C-suite
FinTech/payments background
Deep Understanding of the payment s ecosystem
B2B sales experience / Large account management experience
Software sales / technical/complex product sales experience
Experience with commercially scaling a country or a product within a short period of time
An understanding of Agile and Safe methodologies and how this drives and impacts working relationships and delivery
