Sub-Contractor Specialist

One of our esteemed clients in the Shipbuilding industry is currently seeking a SubContractor Specialist to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview:

As a SubContractor Specialist you will play a critical role in managing and ensuring the performance of subcontractors essential for shipbuilding and maritime operations. Your experience in subcontractor management and your deep understanding of the maritime industry will be instrumental in optimizing our subcontractor relationships and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and select suitable subcontractors for shipbuilding projects considering their expertise capacity and capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors defining terms deliverables and performance expectations.
• Monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract terms and project requirements.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure subcontractor work meets industry standards and project specifications.
• Identify potential risks associated with subcontractor work and develop mitigation plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors fostering collaboration and resolving issues.
• Monitor subcontractor costs and work closely with the procurement team to optimize project budgets.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with local and international regulations safety standards and environmental requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a SubContractor Specialist or in subcontractor management within the shipbuilding or maritime industry.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation quality control and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and subcontractor requirements.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Saudi Nationals are given first preference.
