Job Description
One of our esteemed clients in the ship building industry is currently seeking a Workshop Manufacturing Specialist to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Job Overview:
As a Workshop Manufacturing Specialist you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing workshop operations for shipbuilding and maritime projects. Your experience in manufacturing workshop management and your deep understanding of the maritime industry will be instrumental in ensuring efficient production and quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of workshop operations including the manufacturing and assembly of components for shipbuilding projects.
- Ensure the efficient execution of manufacturing processes including cutting welding machining and assembly.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the quality and specifications of manufactured components meet industry standards.
- Manage workshop resources including equipment materials and manpower to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of workshop activities including work orders production schedules and quality inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the workshop and promote a culture of safety among the workforce.
- Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Evaluate and improve workshop processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manufacturing Specialist or in workshop management within the shipbuilding or maritime industry.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes quality control and resource management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials used in shipbuilding.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Saudi Nationals are given first preference.
