Job Description
One of our esteemed clients in the Shipbuilding industry is currently seeking a Data Engineer with 4 years of experience alligning to the shipbuilding industry to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Job Overview:
As a Data Engineer you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the companys data infrastructure and systems. You will be responsible for collecting processing and analyzing data from various sources within our shipbuilding and maritime operations. Your expertise in data engineering and your understanding of the maritime industry will enable you to drive datadriven decisions and innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect data from various sources including sensors IoT devices and databases.
- Integrate data from shipbuilding and maritime operations ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Clean transform and structure raw data to make it usable for analysis and reporting.
- Implement ETL processes to extract transform and load data into our data warehouse.
- Design and manage data storage solutions ensuring scalability and performance.
- Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to create insightful reports and visualizations.
- Support the development of predictive models and analytics solutions.
- Continuously monitor and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve datarelated issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science Data Science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on data processing and integration.
- Expertise in data engineering tools and languages such as Python SQL and ETL frameworks.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and database systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of the shipbuilding and maritime industry is a significant plus.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Saudi Nationals are given first preference.
