Head Of Data Center

Job Purpose:

The job holder is responsible for the overall management strategic planning and operational excellence of the organizations data center (s). ensuring the continuous availability security and efficient functioning of data canter facilities and infrastructure.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data canter strategy aligned with the organizations IT and business objectives.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance data center capabilities.

• Oversee the design deployment and maintenance of data center infrastructure including servers storage networking equipment and cooling systems.

• Ensure the scalability and reliability of data canter systems.

• Implement and enforce robust security measures to safeguard data center assets including physical and cyber security.

• Ensure data center operations adhere to regulatory compliance standards and industry best practices.

• Lead team responsible for design build and operations of Data Center customer projects.

• Monitor and optimize data center operations to maximize efficiency reduce downtime and control operational costs.

• Develop and guide technical teams to deliver manage hosting services including cloud computing.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for data center operations.

• Conduct regular testing and simulations to ensure readiness for emergencies.

• Analyze data center performance metrics and forecast capacity requirements.

• Plan for scalability to accommodate growth and technological advancements.

• Generate regular reports on data center performance uptime and key metrics for management and stakeholders.

• Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.

• Perform any other duties assigned to him/her related to the nature of the work.

• Plan and maintain regulatory certifications.

. Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or a related field (masters degree preferred).

• Minimum 4 6 years of experience in Extensive experience in data center management or a related field. with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
