Job Description

Job Title:Head of Enterprise Risk Management
Location: London U.K.
Department: Risk Management
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Pattern: FullTime

Overview:

To facilitate & support the CRO ABCIB Management Committees & Board committees in the oversight of all key risks within ABCIB. This includes:

  • Acting as an internal subject matter expert on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
  • Producing highquality insightful management information to support effective riskbased decisions.
  • Integrating forecasting and stresstesting into the Banks risk assessment and management processes.
  • Deploying enhancements to the Banks risk framework to capture the risks arising from climate change.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Act as an internal subject matter expert on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
  • Produce highquality factbased management information (MI) to support effective riskbased decisions.
  • Oversee the process for maintaining the Banks Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and support effective monitoring reporting and escalations related to risk appetite measures and thresholds.
  • Ensure appropriate Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reporting is in place covering all risk categories of the Bank. Oversee KRI reporting and provide effective challenge to assessments and mitigation plans. Review KRI thresholds and propose updates as appropriate.
  • Integrate forecasting and stresstesting into the Banks risk assessment and management processes.
  • Oversee and deploy enhancements to the Banks risk framework to capture the risks arising from climate change.
  • Maintain and enhance the enterprisewide risk register collating risk assessments and ensuring that all key risks are covered and that action plans are captured. Facilitate stakeholder sessions for review and feedback with final recommendations to be presented in RMC and BRC meetings.
  • Provide support and input on key regulatory documents (ICAAP RRP Stress Testing Framework) and key risk management policies (credit policies operational risk policy etc.).
  • Coordinate the agenda materials and action trackers for Board Risk Committee (BRC) and Risk Management Committee (RMC).
  • Promote a riskinformed culture and personally demonstrate the required culture and behaviors with a positive can do attitude to support the business to develop within prescribed risk parameters.
  • Maintain an effective proactive relationship with key stakeholders to improve risk mitigation and tools.
  • Adhere to Conduct Rules and ARC objectives relevant to the role.
  • Provide governance and oversight support to the CRO and act as the risk representative for strategic projects and other change initiatives.
  • Act as the appointed delegate for the CRO where necessary and as instructed (for instance when the CRO is on leave).


Candidate Specification:

Bachelors degree in Finance or Banking related subjects is highly desirable.
Risk management experience including knowledge of risk management frameworks governance and controls.
Excellent people management and leadership abilities.
Superior communication facilitation and consensusbuilding skills.
Demonstrated relationshipbuilding skills with a superior ability to communicate simply and to make things happen through the use of positive influence.
High degree of personal initiative.
Strong problemsolving skills; comfortable tackling complex problems and breaking these down into manageable pieces.
Superior multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced often deadlinedriven and dynamic environment.
