Job Title: Conference and Event Sales Executive

Accountable to: Commercial Director

Contract: Permanent

Hours:40 hours per week to include evenings weekends and bank holidays when necessary

This is an exciting time to join the Somerset Team. As 2023 T20 champions we are driven to exceed our recent achievements in the 2024 season.

We have an opportunity for a passionate and ambitiousConference and Event Sales Executiveto join us and take a proactive role in generatingincome from hospitality events and conference hire at The Cooper Associates County Ground.

This is a hugely varied role where each day brings something different. Youll be seeking new clients proactively selling our venue and hospitality services to expand the business and achieve sales targets. Youll be hosting inspiring client showrounds attending networking opportunities and exhibitions and supporting in marketing and promotional activities. Youll also have some administrative responsibilities managing client enquiries bookings and client relationship management. This is just a snapshot of the tasks youll be part of in this exciting role.

To be successful in our team you have excellent communication and customer service skills with a drive to exceed sales targets. You have relevant event sales experienceand can demonstratesuccess alongside resilience and positivityin the face of setbacks. Networking and client relationship management excites you. Youre organised with strong planning and project management skills. Above all youre passionate about what you do and committed to doing your job to the highest standard.

Selected candidates will be invited to a first stage interview via Microsoft Teams on Monday 19 February.

Further shortlisted candidates will be invited to a second stage interview to be held face to face at the Cooper Associates County Ground on Monday 26 February.
