Our cuttingedge client is looking for a Clinical Lab Technologist for their Division of Clinical Pathology utilizes advanced computer technology and stateoftheart automated equipment across multiple sites serving various healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and emergency tests on blood serum spinal fluid and other body fluids utilizing a combination of automated and manual equipment based on specific procedures.
- Vigilantly oversee specimens to ensure the timely completion of work.
- Review data meticulously before release promptly reporting any panic abnormal or critical values.
- Manage and maintain quality control data on tests performed promptly addressing and documenting any QC failures as per laboratory procedures.
- Prepare reagents manage inventory and communicate with the supervisor as required.
- Maintain comprehensive records of work performed and diligently keep equipment maintenance logs.
- Assist with telephone inquiries and perform order entry in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) when necessary.
- Potentially assume individual responsibility for overseeing the work of a laboratory unit providing leadership and guidance to fellow technicians.
- Play an active role in the training process for new employees sharing knowledge and expertise for effective onboarding.
- Uphold a pristine work area in strict accordance with Infection Control guidelines.
- Undertake various other laboratoryrelated tasks under the guidance of a supervisor as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in a physical science medical technology preferred
- New York State Department of Education Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
