Clinical Lab Technologist - Rapid Response Lab

• Conduct routine and emergency tests on blood serum spinal fluid and other body fluids utilizing a combination of automated and manual equipment based on specific procedures.
  
• Vigilantly oversee specimens to ensure the timely completion of work.
  
• Review data meticulously before release promptly reporting any panic abnormal or critical values.
  
• Manage and maintain quality control data on tests performed promptly addressing and documenting any QC failures as per laboratory procedures.
  
• Prepare reagents manage inventory and communicate with the supervisor as required.
  
• Maintain comprehensive records of work performed and diligently keep equipment maintenance logs.
  
• Assist with telephone inquiries and perform order entry in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) when necessary.
  
• Potentially assume individual responsibility for overseeing the work of a laboratory unit providing leadership and guidance to fellow technicians.
  
• Play an active role in the training process for new employees sharing knowledge and expertise for effective onboarding.
  
• Uphold a pristine work area in strict accordance with Infection Control guidelines.
  
• Undertake various other laboratoryrelated tasks under the guidance of a supervisor as needed.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in a physical science medical technology preferred
  
• New York State Department of Education Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
