Key Responsibilities:

As the Lead Outpatient Dietitian you will play a pivotal role in training and developing our dedicated staff ensuring they meet the highest standards of care. Your contributions will drive quality improvement initiatives and enhance our paraprofessional and highrisk programs.

Your Impact:

• Collaborate closely with the Associate Director Area Manager and Training Coordinator to identify training needs in alignment with the program s standards.
  
• Develop implement and evaluate nutrition education policies to achieve health and nutrition goals for our dedicated staff.
  
• Lead the development of engaging lesson plans and themes for monthly nutrition & health education classes and food demonstrations.
  
• Oversee and manage the highrisk nutrition components of our program ensuring every participant receives exceptional care.
  
• Prepare and train paraprofessionals under the guidance of the Associate Director.
  
• Provide invaluable oversight and technical guidance to Registered Dietitians and Degreed Nutritionists especially in highrisk operations and activities.
  
• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for participants.
  
• Evaluate dietary intakes and review medical records for accurate nutritional risk determination offering tailored nutrition interventions for participants.
  
• Collaborate with physicians on crucial nutrition and breastfeedingrelated matters to ensure adherence to the program s policies and procedures.
  
• Spearhead necessary policy changes related to therapeutic noncontract supplemental formula issuance for participants.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition Dietetics or a related Health Education field. Masters Degree is a plus.
  
• Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD or RDN) certification is mandatory.
  
• Indepth knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition pertaining to pregnancy lactation and infant/child nutrition.
  
• Three (3) years of relevant experience. A Masters Degree in Nutrition Public Health or an Educationrelated field may substitute for one year of work experience.
  
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity towards both staff and participants needs.
  
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to foster teamwork among RD Nutrition Consultants staff.
  
• Excellent organizational abilities coupled with effective communication teaching and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and other computer skills are essential.
  
• Ability to collaborate with corporate office program personnel and other program stakeholders.
  
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.

In line with safety protocols all patients undergo COVID screening and must wear masks when not receiving treatment. All staff members are required to be fully vaccinated.
