Job Description

Position: Paralegal Family and Private Client

Location: Shepperton

About Us: We are a wellestablished law firm based in Shepperton dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in various practice areas. As part of our continuous growth we are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Paralegal to join our Family and Private Client team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Case Management:

    • Assist attorneys in managing a diverse caseload of family and private client matters.
    • Organize and maintain case files ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately recorded and uptodate.

  2. Legal Research:

    • Conduct thorough legal research on family and private client law issues.
    • Summarize findings and present relevant information to attorneys to support case preparation.

  3. Client Interaction:

    • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
    • Draft correspondence and assist in preparing legal documents under attorney supervision.

  4. Document Drafting and Review:

    • Assist in drafting legal documents including wills trusts and family law documents.
    • Review and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

  5. Court Support:

    • Prepare court documents and assist in court filings.
    • Coordinate and schedule court appearances hearings and meetings.

  6. Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to attorneys including calendar management scheduling and file organization.
    • Handle incoming calls emails and inquiries directing them to the appropriate parties.


Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree in Law or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal particularly in family and private client law.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and legal databases.
