Staff Accountant/ Senior Staff Accountant

We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for managing and overseeing general accounting operations which includes entering controlling and verifying all our financial transactions. As an essential member of the Finance team you will be expected to maintain accuracy and efficiency in all our accounting tasks. **This role can be Onsite or Hybrid depending on the person; however the first 3 to 4 months will be onsite every day and then it could be moved to 3 days in the office and 2 at home.**
Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile financial transactions including accounts receivable accounts payable bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
- Process customer invoices customer payments and pastdue notices.
- Process vendor invoices expense reports and ensure accurate coding and approvals.
- Maintain Company Credit Card and ensure accurate coding and approvals of credit card transactions.
- Maintain organized and uptodate financial records for all general ledger accounts.
- MonthEnd and YearEnd Closing
- Assist in monthend and yearend processes including customer invoicing journal entries accruals and reconciliations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in regulatory compliance and reporting including tax filings and audits.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and provide support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Background in public accounting or professional services markets is a plus
- Ability to handle large volumes of confidential information.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Takes initiative follows through and works independently.
- Ability to use good judgment and strong problemsolving skills.
- Handson experience with accounting software packages like NetSuite and QuickBooks
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
