Job Description

For our client a leading global manufacturer of plastic accessories for consumer goods we are looking for the AREA MANAGER MEXICO reporting functionally to the Key Account Manager and to the Commercial Director and supporting by a sales assistant.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop acquire consolidate and optimize the client portfolio in the area of competence which includes Mexico and Central American countries. In addition it is essential that the candidate have a solid client portfolio active in the plastics sector with potential for further development and generation of new business
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director and KAM to achieve sales targets (defined in the Budget under his/her responsibility and in the Forecasts) and assigned KPIs maximizing the results of the area (including through the activation of new lines of business)
  • Maintain daily direct contact with customers in collaboration with back office
  • Prepare commercial offers according to company policies and given price lists adapting them to the specific needs of customers.
  • Identify and analyze business opportunities and major market trends and monitor key competitors;
  • Ensure the timely and correct processing of reports sales analysis sales budget sales and revision forecasts
  • Maintain uptodate archives on company IT systems and the CRM system in use in the company

Main requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • 5/10 years experience in B2B sales in Mexico with sourcing sector plastics and an active client portfolio
  • Fluent written and spoken knowledge of Spanish and English Italian knowledge will be a plus
  • Available to travel frequently in the area of expertise (approximately 100/120 days year) to visit customers participate in industry trade shows and expanding business into new geographic areas
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office package and habit of using tools for reporting and CRM
  • Ability to analyze data and KPIs and in monitoring and improving sales performance.
