Key Responsibilities
.
Analyze current business practices processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics Services.
.
Provide technical leadership and thought leadership as a senior member of the team in areas such as data access & ingestion data processing data integration data modelling.
.
Collaborate with project managers for project/sprint planning by estimating technical tasks and deliverables.
.
Develop best practices including reusable code libraries patterns and consumable frameworks for cloudbased data warehousing and ETL.
.
Maintain best practice standards for the development or cloudbased data warehouse solutioning including naming standards.
Requirements
Critical Knowledge Skills & Experience
.
5 Years of total Experience in Data Engineering.
.
3 years of Azure Data ecosystem Experience.
.
Experience in designing and handson development in cloudbased analytics solutions.
.
Design develop and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Apache Spark on the Azure Databricks platform.
.
Expert level understanding on Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Azure SQL Azure Data Lake and Azure App Service is required.
.
Strong experience with SQL is required.
.
Strong Python experience is required.
.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as code is essential.
.
Thorough understanding of Azure Infrastructure offerings.
.
Power BI is desirable.
Technical Soft Skills:
.
Strong customer engagement skills to understand customer needs for Analytics solutions fully.
.
Strong data analysis and analytical skills.
.
Have demonstrated the ability to guide the development of data requirements for projects and drive a user experience that is easy to use and delivers the right information at the right time.
.
Experience in working in a fastpaced agile environment.
.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
