The IONOS Database as a Service team is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced software engineer (male/female/diverse) who is enthusiastic about laying the groundwork for The European Cloud Provider.

The DBaaS team operates within the IONOS Cloud division and specializes in the development and upkeep of database services tailored to our clients needs. These services encompass a wide range including relational databases such as PostgreSQL documentbased databases keyvalue stores time series databases and various other NoSQL options. For our enterprise clients the database often serves as the dependable core of their system architecture ensuring data persistence consistency and structure a sturdy foundation upon which they can construct their applications.

Our team assumes responsibility for the complete service life cycle: from its creation and delivery to its daytoday operation. We are actively searching for an individual to join our team and collaborate with us to deliver the finest product possible. This role will report to the Engineering Manager of Database as a Service.

• Writing code in Go and other programming languages.
• Ongoing enhancement of service quality and robustness.
• Enhancing our automation for building testing and deploying.
• Assisting in the operation and management of distributed systems.
• Working closely with a dynamic selfdriven team of colleagues in an agile environment.
• Tackling intriguing challenges within a dynamic cloud setting.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in the development testing and deployment of wellengineered code with a preference for proficiency in Go.
• Valuable contributions to discussions regarding design and architecture.
• Familiarity with working in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes container orchestration and expertise in Helm charts.
• Proficiency in constructing Kubernetes operators controllers and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
• Competence in managing and diagnosing issues in production environments.
• Expertise in at least two types of databases such as relational timeseries keyvalue fulltext search persistent message queues or documentbased databases.
• Proficiency in the Linux operating system.
• Sound knowledge of network fundamentals.
