Job Description
ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an established manufacturing company near Tucson AZ is looking to hire an Engineering Project Manager to join their growing team. This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering.
- Plan and oversee all aspects of medium/large scale capital projects (up to $25M)
- Manage internal and external teams to ensure smooth installations and timely completion of projects
- Collaborate with site managers customer representatives and other external groups to design construct and manage projects through completion
- Utilize FrontEnd Engineering Design (FEED) FrontEnd Loading (FEL) and StageGate processes throughout project planning and execution
- Create budgets forecasts project schedules outline necessary resources & possible risks and make updates/adjustments as necessary
- Facilitate change order requests for budgets and schedules to ensure all parties involved are aware of the impact on the project
- Participate in vendor selection properly vetting qualifications and reviewing bid packages
- Act as the liaison between vendors and the client to ensure positive relationships and smooth project completion
- Communicate technical information to nontechnical parties both written & verbal in a clear and concise manner
- Prepare presentations outlining status updates risks and solutions for review by upper management & customers
- Ensure each step of projects is properly documented
- Ensure best practices are put forward providing mentorship and training where necessary
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time direct hire
- Travel required to different site locations in AZ NM & UT
- Hybrid role: onsite and remote
- $120000 $135000 annually depending on experience

- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- PMP Certification a plus
- 10 years Engineering in a Manufacturing environment
- 5 years Project Management experience manufacturing/production installation a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office MS Project Visio
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills analytical and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Company is open to assisting with relocation
