Senior Controls Engineering Lead

The Senior Controls Engineering Lead is responsible for managing a team of Controls Engineers and overseeing multiple controls projects. This handson role involves all phases of controls project execution including concept and research sales support estimating component selection network design panel design ACAD layout purchasing device troubleshooting PLC/VLC programming HMI tagging onsite installation and debug and aftersales support. The role also includes supervising younger engineers working with the Controls Project Manager ensuring successful project delivery communicating effectively with team members attending and obtaining certifications in applicable controls technologies or programs communicating strategic information regarding suppliers customers and competition conducting annual reviews of engineers at the commissioning level 2 and below communicating the specific needs of direct reports to Controls Managers when needed developing processes to support team growth problemsolving for the team and customers recruiting and evaluating key suppliers of technology/software maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude and delivering projects that meet or exceed customer expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology with 6 years work experience or 10 years industry experience
  
• PLC/VLC programming experience
  
• Panel design experience preferred
  
• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred
  
• Material handling experience required
  
• Good communication skills
  
• Ability to lead medium to large projects
  
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, and project management. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant improvement methodologies is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software.
