This position is working with the Branch of Natural Resources Fisheries Program (Not the Fish Hatchery). Assist project biologist or crew lead with spawning ground surveys working fish traps handling and tagging juvenile and adult fish radio telemetry snorkel surveys and data entry. Must be in good physical shape as hiking snorkeling and other survey work is often in steep terrain and DURING hot/cold weather. Must be able to lift and carry upwards of 50 lbs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required and must arrive to work punctually. Work hours are usually MF 85 but occasional weekend or night work is required. Must have a valid Oregon Drivers license related fisheries experience desired and must successfully pass a background check a drug/alcohol test and be insurable for driving by the tribes.
