Data Governance Analyst

Equinox Consulting Partners LLC is actively seeking a seasoned Data Governance Analyst to join our team in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). As a key member of our Data Governance team you will play a pivotal role in strategically defining implementing and operating Data Governance at DBHDS. If you have over 10 years of experience in data governance and are passionate about ensuring data quality integrity and strategic insights for decisionmaking we invite you to apply and be part of our dynamic team. This is a HYBRID position. The incumbent must go into the office on site in Richmond VA two days a week. Only local candidates will be considered.

• Strategic Data Governance: Work collaboratively with the team to strategically define implement and operate Data Governance at DBHDS.

• Data Analysis: Analyze data to provide insights for decisionmaking and ensure that data is fit for purpose.

• Data Governance Processes: Support the implementation of data governance processes ensuring adherence to best practices.

• Data Quality Monitoring: Monitor and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the organization.

• Standards and Processes: Develop and implement data quality standards and processes to maintain high data quality.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure data integration and consistency across the organization.

• Repository Management: Maintain a repository of Data Governance policies procedures and standards with appropriate version control.

• Onboarding Support: Work with the Data Governance Manager during the onboarding of new applications under governance providing support during operationalization.

• Data Governance Steward Support: Provide support to Data Governance Stewards during data profiling activities.

• Reconciliation and Validation: Assist in data reconciliation and validation checks across various systems.

• Proof of Concepts: Come up with initial proof of concepts for data that needs to be merged from multiple systems and define the business benefits of moving towards a consolidated source.

• Data Lineage Documentation: Assist in documenting data lineage and data flows within the organization.

• Business Glossary and Metadata: Assist in capturing business glossary data dictionary and metadata lineage information.

• ILM Processes: Work with IT teams to enforce Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) processes and procedures.
