FPA Manager

For this Financial Planning & Analysis Manager you will report directly to the CFO and have one direct report to manage. This is an exciting opportunity to join the finance team operating alongside the CFO and Financial Controller and the wider Management team you will successfully lead the company through a time of change adding material benefit to the bottom line.

The primary focus of the role will be business partnering; working with their commercial teams to understand analyse and impact performance. You will bring insight and clarity to tabled recommendations and then work to implements your recommendations realising value.

Secondarily you will have experience of delivering process and commercial change. Working with both the Finance and business teams you will identify areas of opportunity (process or otherwise) before realising these in a timely effective and sustainable manner. You will liaise with your colleagues within the business to overcome challenges/obstacles and develop effective and constructive solutions for the customer.

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:

Identifying and realising commercial opportunities your analyses will be insightful; you will successfully gain buyin; you will project manage through to reality. Examples could include Pricing Management Promotional Effectives Negotiation Preparation Stock Clearance etc.

Owning and developing periodic reporting across short medium and longterm time frames. Delivering insight value and control from these reports. Examples include Weekly Trading Reports Monthly Board Reports and Ad Hoc Exception reports. Tools will vary from traditional static reports to dynamic visualisations.

Development of multipoint rolling Forecasts across key metrics and financial statements. Techniques to include driverbased Forecasting statisticalbased Forecasting etc.

Collaborating with senior management to prepare presentations and reports for board meetings investor meetings and team briefings.

Supporting management in making financial decisions and developing investment cases by analysing internal and external factors affecting business performance.

Project managing and helping to realise the organisation s Value Creation Plan.

Requirements

The successful Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be/have:

Qualified Accountant (ACA ACCA or CIMA) 10 years experience

Strong analytical and data gathering skills to assess current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement

High proficiency in financial modelling techniques

Excellent understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software applications

Visualisation & Analysis

Strong leadership and communication skills with an ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner

Capable project management an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Desirable:

Sage 1000 experience

Visulation Experience (Qlik)

Process automation software experience (RPA solutions Power Automate KNIME or similar)

Sector Experience Cycling brand and/or product awareness
