Location: Berrien Cass and Van Buren Counties

Summary: As the Development Director you will be a key player in initiating and leading fundraising efforts for our organization. Your role will involve diversifying revenue streams fostering donor relationships and implementing effective fundraising strategies to ensure the sustainability of our mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Fundraising Leadership:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy including capital campaigns aligned with organizational objectives.
    • Identify and prioritize fundraising opportunities including individual giving major gifts corporate partnerships and grants.

    Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

      • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors.
      • Implement strategies to engage and cultivate donors ensuring a positive and meaningful donor experience.
      • Cultivate major donors through strategic communication and stewardship initiatives.
      Fundraising Campaigns:
        • Plan coordinate and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
        • Collaborate with the Communications and Engagement Coordinator and leadership team to create compelling campaign materials.
        Grant Writing and Management:
          • Research and identify grant opportunities.
          • Assist in developing persuasive grant proposals and manage the application process.
          Fundraising Oversight:
            • Monitor and report on fundraising initiatives regularly updating leadership.

            Collaboration:

              • Collaborate with internal teams for a cohesive fundraising approach.
              • Build and lead a highperforming development team as the organizations fundraising efforts grow.

              Competencies:

              To excel in this role the ideal candidate should demonstrate:

              • Ability to plan and execute successful comprehensive fundraising strategies and capital campaigns.
              • Proficiency in building and maintaining positive relationships to enhance organizational connections.
              • Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans to meet goals and enhance longterm sustainability.
              • Collaborate with stakeholders to maximize fundraising opportunities.
              • Effectively convey the organizations mission impact and funding needs.
              • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold the agencys mission.

              Education and Experience:

              • Bachelors degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification in fundraising is a plus.
              • Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising and capital campaigns with a successful track record in individual giving and major gifts.
              • Knowledge of industry ethics standards and best practices.
              • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
              • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
              • Familiarity with the nonprofit sector and passion for the organizations mission.
              • CFRE Certification preferred.

              • Salary: BA $66924 MA $70467
              • Job Type: FullTime
